Since 2009, Women of the World has worked to empower women from all nations to achieve independence, regardless of their legal status. Every international woman is welcome to be part of our WoW community. Our goal is for each woman to feel secure and empowered, free from fear or vulnerability. By achieving this, they not only find peace and stability for their families but also contribute to and strengthen their community. Together, we thrive, and every woman plays a vital role in enriching Salt Lake City.
Refuge for Women Kentucky
Refuge for Women Kentucky is a non-profit, faith-based organization providing specialized emergency housing and long-term care for women who have escaped sex trafficking or sexual exploitation. Their mission is to empower sexually exploited women to live a life of freedom through faith-based, residential healing programs. And our vision is that every woman who is sexually exploited will have the hope, support, and tools needed to pursue her dreams and live a life of freedom.
Refuge for Women Texas Gulf Coast
Refuge for Women Texas Gulf Coast provides long-term, residential healing programs for women who have escaped human trafficking and sexual exploitation. Through safe housing, trauma-informed care, and holistic support, women are empowered to rebuild their lives, completely free of charge. They work towards their belief that every woman deserves safety, dignity, and the opportunity to thrive.
Alternatives for Women
Alternatives for Women's mission is to help girls and young women experiencing homelessness and other risks avoid violence, early pregnancy, and exploitation; and help them to explore and access the support, resources, and opportunities necessary to be safe, to grow strong, and to make positive choices for their lives.

Good Friends Charlotte
It all began in 1987 when four good friends put their heads together over lunch. Catherine Browning, Alice Folger, Sally Saussy, and Patty Norman assembled a diverse group of women to serve as the convening committee of what would become known as Good Friends. Good Friends raises funds for those who need help and have exhausted all other agencies and resources.
Hispanic Unity of Florida
Hispanic Unity of Florida was founded in 1982 as a welcoming place of hope and support for immigrants. From day one, their mission has been to help individuals and families adjust to life in a new country, find their footing, and pursue their version of the American dream. Many of the people they serve arrive with little more than determination, often without knowing the language, the culture, or where to begin. But with strength and resilience, they move forward. HUF is proud to walk alongside them, offering the tools, guidance, and encouragement they need to succeed. Since their founding, they’ve supported more than 585,000 individuals on their journey toward a brighter future.
